Two New Working Groups: A Call for New Members

The Whole Grain Initiative has two newly launched working groups that are looking for members:

  • The International Working Group on Whole Grain Intake Recommendations, chaired by Nicola McKeown, aims to consider whole grain recommendations around the globe, document the health evidence for varying intake levels, and reach a consensus on a recommended quantitative whole grain intake.
  • The International Working Group on Whole Grain Sustainability, chaired by Keagan Ringling, aims to create knowledge of the whole grain supply chain, leverage existing research, and develop standardized systems approaches for understanding whole grain sustainability.

For more information and updates about all five of the WGI working groups, including these two new ones, be sure to watch our recent webinar. Experts worldwide are encouraged to reach out to office@wholegraininitiative.org for more information about how to get involved.
